The Akron Brother Circle began as a 12-week interactive program called, "Men In Touch." The sessions were part of the requirements for a grant funded by the Ohio Department of Health. The weekly sessions were so successful that the participants formed the ongoing organization, Akron Brother Circle, in 1997. Many of our members have since passed
on, but the continuation of our work is a testament to our resiliency, as our survival has been against all odds. We have persevered in our activism and continue to renew our commitment to the larger African American community.
