Family Black Pride 2022

Black Pride celebrates our history and culture.  This is a MIX of our clothing, our food, our music, our zeal for dance, which gives us a sense of worth in our own skin.  It is difficult to participate in  and feel comfortable at celebrations where your history and culture may not be fully embraced due to lack of understanding.

We are celebrating survival and paying homage to our same gender loving 

people of color who fought for our rights, including in the movement of the Stonewall Riots of the late 1960’s. These events inspired future 

generations to be proud of who they are as a people.
